Through her legal experience, Alex has a gained a mastery of evidentiary and discovery matters. Alex regularly represents Pennsylvania companies and municipalities in state and federal court carefully following local, state, and federal rules and the deadlines that follow. Alex places great attention to thoroughly drafting various civil pleadings and motions such as complaints, summary judgments and discovery disputes. Alex was a valuable member of a legal team who devised pre-trial motions and conducted discovery in a high dollar personal injury case resulting in a favorable settlement for her client.

Alex’s experience also includes civil and criminal defense. As a clerk for the late Honorable Judge John A. Zottola of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, Alex wrote complex opinions and briefs on various criminal cases involving the death penalty. She also served as a Certified Legal Intern with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office and litigated non-jury trials against criminal defendants. Additionally, Alex has an information technology background where she successfully handled system and network administration for the Washington County Court of Common Pleas. This experience led Alex to become interested in in cybercrime and white-collar criminal defense and has authored adept articles based on her understanding.

With a heartfelt desire to assist clients in need and a strong penchant toward humanitarian principles, Alex has a background in family-based immigration through her work with Jewish Family Community Service on a pro-bono basis. She handles the appropriate filing of documents, petitions, and application forms. In addition, Alex has been involved in the Allegheny County Veterans Court where she researched how to reduce Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder triggers for incarcerated veterans, which was then implemented in the Veterans Pod at the Allegheny County Jail.

In an increasingly global environment, Alex can bring a worldly perspective to her clients. She is fluent in Russian and studied at St. Petersburg State University in St. Petersburg, Russia during her undergraduate studies and at Southwest University of Political Science and Law in Chongqing, China and Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China during law school.
