Colin Zwally

Criminal defense attorney with trial-tested experience in state, federal, and white-collar cases.

Colin F. Zwally focuses his practice on criminal defense, representing clients in both state and federal matters. His experience includes defending against state and federal criminal offenses, handling pre-indictment representation and white-collar cases, and litigating trials and appeals in state and federal courts. He also advises on judicial conduct board matters.

Before joining Tucker Arensberg, Colin served as a Deputy District Attorney in the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office, where he tried approximately 15 jury cases, including criminal homicide, felony drug and firearm offenses, trademark counterfeiting, and domestic violence-related matters. He also prosecuted juvenile cases and oversaw both the Dauphin County Gang Task Force and Drug Task Force. Colin played a key role in creating the County’s Violent Crime Unit and was recognized with the 2025 LeRoy S. Zimmerman Award for Outstanding Service as a Prosecutor. He previously clerked for the Honorable John J. McNally of the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas.

Colin’s litigation background spans every stage of the process—from legal research and drafting to negotiation, courtroom advocacy, and trial preparation. Known for his ability to identify both obvious and hidden legal issues, he combines strategic analysis with compassion and dedication to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients.

Colin earned his J.D., cum laude, from New England Law Boston in Boston, where he ranked in the top 18% of his class and served on the New England Law Review as Executive Comment and Note Editor. His scholarship included work on law enforcement’s use of genetic databases to solve crimes. He received his B.A. in Political Science with a Business minor from Gettysburg College.

Active in his community, Colin serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Harrisburg and was involved with the East Coast Gang Investigators Association, where he served as Parliamentarian on the Executive Board.
